- File names and sizes accessed during transfers are tracked locally
- Transfer speed statistics are calculated in real-time
- Connection information is kept only for the duration of the active transfer
- Background Service Data: When running servers in the background:
- Server status is monitored locally
- Notification preferences are stored on your device
- No usage data is sent to external services

- No Data Sold or Shared: WiFi HTTP FTP Server does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.

- Network Communication: Files are transferred directly between your device and connected clients over your local network (WiFi) or the internet. You have full control over which networks and clients can access your servers.
4. Permissions
- Internet Access: Required to serve files to clients over WiFi or the internet.
- Storage Permissions (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to access and share files from your device's storage. You can select specific directories to share.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Required to display server status notifications. You can disable notifications anytime in app Settings.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Enables servers to run in the background while your device is in use, with a persistent notification showing server status.
5. Data Security
- Local Storage: Server configurations, credentials, and settings are stored securely on your device using SharedPreferences.
- Authentication: FTP servers support username/password authentication. You control which users have access.
- No Remote Storage: Your server configuration, credentials, and file transfer data are never sent to external servers or third-party services.
- Device Control: You have complete control over:
- Which directories can be accessed
- Which devices can connect to your servers
- Whether upload functionality is enabled
- Server port numbers and settings
6. Background Service Operation
- Foreground Service: When you start the servers, they run as a foreground service with a persistent notification showing server status.
- Network Access: The servers require active internet or WiFi connectivity to operate.
- Control: You can start and stop servers at any time from the app interface.
7. Children's Privacy
WiFi HTTP FTP Server is intended for adults and professionals who need to share files, not for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Parents/guardians should supervise their children's use of this app.
