Edge Line ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Edge Line – Edge Glow (the "App") collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

1. Information Collection

1.1 Information WE Collect Directly

Edge Line itself does NOT collect or transmit any personal information. We do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Photos, files, or media from your device
• Contact lists or call logs
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Location data (beyond what AdMob may collect)

1.2 Information Collected by Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• Ad Interaction Data: How you interact with ads (views, clicks)
• App Usage Data: Time spent in app, frequency of use
• IP Address and Location: Approximate location based on IP address for relevant ads
• Network Information: Mobile carrier, connection type

This data is collected and processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

2. Data Storage

All app settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using:

• SharedPreferences (Android): Your customization settings (colors, patterns, animation styles, etc.) are saved locally in your device's private storage
• No cloud backup or synchronization occurs
• Data is not accessible to other apps or services

3. Permissions

The App requires certain permissions to function. Here's what each permission is used for:

3.1 System Alert Window (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)

• Purpose: Display the edge glow overlay on top of other apps
• Required: Yes, this is the core functionality of the app
• Data Access: No data is collected; only used to render the visual overlay

3.2 Foreground Service

• Purpose: Keep the edge glow animation running continuously
• Required: Yes, for persistent edge glow display
• Data Access: No data is collected

3.3 Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE) - Optional

• Purpose: Detect incoming calls to trigger custom edge glow animation (Edge On Caller ID feature)
• Required: No, only if you enable "Edge On Caller ID" feature
• Data Access: Only call state (ringing/idle); phone numbers are NOT accessed, logged, or stored
• Usage: Processed locally on your device; never transmitted externally

3.4 Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)

• Purpose: Optionally restart edge glow after device reboot (future feature)
• Required: No
• Data Access: No data is collected

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the app. AdMob is a third-party advertising platform that may collect and process data as described in Section 1.2.

AdMob Privacy Controls:

• Personalized Ads: By default, AdMob may show personalized ads based on your interests
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising:
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

4.2 Services We Do NOT Use

• No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• No crash reporting services
• No social media integrations
• No payment processors (app is free with ads)

5. Internet Connection

Core Functionality: The edge glow functionality works completely offline and does not require internet.

Advertisements: Internet connection is required to load and display ads via Google AdMob. AdMob makes network requests to Google's ad servers to fetch advertisements.

6. Children's Privacy

Edge Line does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

7. Data Security

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your information. All settings remain securely stored in your device's private app storage, accessible only by Edge Line.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data and privacy:

• Advertising ID: Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in device settings
• Revoke Permissions: Revoke any app permission at any time through device settings
• Delete Data: Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored settings
• No Account: No account creation is required or available
• Data Deletion Request: Since we don't collect personal data directly, uninstalling removes all app data. For AdMob data, visit My Ad Center

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

10. Data Retention

Settings are retained locally on your device until you:

• Uninstall the app
• Clear the app's data through device settings
• Perform a factory reset on your device

This app complies with:

• Google Play Store policies
• Google AdMob policies and EU User Consent Policy
• Android privacy guidelines
• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) - AdMob data processing covered by Google's DPA
• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) - AdMob complies with CCPA requirements
• COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) - No personalized ads to children

EU/EEA/UK Users: For users in the EU, EEA, or UK, we implement consent mechanisms as required by GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. AdMob serves non-personalized ads to users who do not consent to personalized advertising.
