This Privacy Policy describes how DevDoc ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application available on Google Play. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

DevDoc does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

The App operates entirely offline. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not require an account or registration of any kind.
• We do not access the internet. The App has no internet permission.

2. Storage Permission

The App requests access to your device's storage solely to:

• Scan your device for supported document files (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, CSV, ODS, ODT, ODP, TXT).
• Read and display documents that you choose to open.
• Open files shared from other apps on your device.

Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server or third party. All file reading happens locally on your device.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores minimal data locally on your device only to provide core features, including:

• A list of indexed file paths so the app can display your documents without re-scanning every launch.
• User preferences such as dark mode setting, grid/list view preference, and sort order.
• Reading progress (last read page) for documents you have opened.
• Your list of favorite files.

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App or use the "Clear Cache" option in Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The PDF rendering component uses the Syncfusion Flutter PDF Viewer library. Syncfusion's community license is used. No data is sent to Syncfusion servers. Please review Syncfusion's Privacy Policy for further information about the library itself.

Advertising

• Google Ad Personalization: Google processes ad-related data (impressions, clicks, interaction patterns) to deliver targeted advertisements. This data may include general location, device type, and browsing context. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
• Opting Out: You can disable personalized ads on your Android device:
  • Settings → Google → Manage your Google Account → Data & Privacy
  • Scroll to "Ad settings" and disable "Personalized ads"
• No Additional Data Shared: DevPlay does not share your personal information with Google beyond what the Google Mobile Ads SDK requires for ad delivery.

5. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to remove it.

6. Data Security

Because we do not collect or transmit any user data, there is no personal data at risk of breach or unauthorized access through our systems. All document data remains on your device and is subject to your device's own security measures.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you wish to remove all locally stored app data, you may do so at any time via:

• In-app: Settings → Clear Cache
• Device settings: Android Settings → Apps → DevDoc → Clear Data
• Uninstall the App to remove all associated data from your device.
